I’m very excited to be appearing at a Real Bookstore this Saturday, the 16th in Fairview, Texas (just south of McKinney).

I’ll perform the same multimedia show I give at school visits and then I’ll sign copies of my new book, Night at the Museum: Nick’s Tales–Night of the Dragons.

My performance begins at 2:00 p.m.

A Real Bookstore’s address:

113 Prairie Road

I just returned from a wonderful school visit with Pantego Christian Academy in Arlington, TX! This was my second visit to Pantego and the second time I had the privilege of meeting so many talented young authors and illustrators.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to browse this year’s book titles. I did, however get to talk to many of the young authors during my book signing! I had a great time. But, as many of you guessed, my hand was a little cramped after signing so many books.

Thanks to Mrs. Smith for inviting me and thanks to all the great young authors and illustrators at Pantego Christian Academy. And I’d like to say a big “thank-you” to everyone who bought one of my books. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them!

Today I hung out with the smart and talented kids of Centennial Elementary in Plano, TX. I had a wonderful time meeting everyone and listening to some of the best Giraffe sounds I’ve heard in awhile!

I especially enjoyed my lunch with several of Centennial’s aspiring young authors. You had some great questions and I could already tell that each and every one of you have the drive to be a great writer. Just remember what I said about the four words and I know you can do it!

Thanks to Mrs. Caskey and the Centennial Elementary PTA for inviting me and thanks to Mrs. Landon for all the help. And a big thanks to all the Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders of Centennial Elementary! You guys were great!

I enjoyed an exciting afternoon with the great kids of Vogel Intermediate! However, as I got there, I found out that they just had a visit from another author the day before: Tim Green! So that was two days in a row where you got to get out of class?!! How cool was that?!!

As usual, I invited everyone to email me any questions they liked and guess what? I had a couple of email messages waiting for me when I returned to my hotel. Thanks for writing, Abby & Madi! If anyone else wants to ask a question, you can always contact me… here.

Thanks to Ms. Cianciulli for having me out and thanks for the exciting afternoon, Vogel Intermediate!

I just spent the morning with the amazing kids at Cox Intermediate in Spring, Texas. I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed running around your big stage. However, I must say that my hand was a little sore after signing all those Night of the Dragons books. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. And like I mentioned, I just finished the first draft of the next book in the series. Do you remember the name?

Thanks to Ms. Peyton for inviting me and thanks for the fun morning, Cox Intermediate!

On my latest trip to the Houston area, my first stop was at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School in The Woodlands. What a great group of kids! I had a fun time meeting all of you and answering all your questions. I even remember answering the question I get so very often about how many hats I have. Well, guess what? I picked up a few more hats during my trip so my hat count is now up to 40! Although my fez monkey count is still holding at 24!

Thanks to Ms. Fishman for inviting me and a big thanks to all the great students at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School!

I just returned from an exciting author visit at Otis Brown Elementary in Irving, Texas. I was their main presenter for a very special day… Read Aloud Day!

I put on my show, met a bunch of great kids, and I even got to read aloud from one of my own books, Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. I hope all the students had as much fun as I did. And I hope they enjoyed listening to all the readers throughout the day. It sounded as if everyone was thoroughly enjoying  themselves.

A big thanks to Ms. Hicks for inviting me, to Ms. Reich for all the help, and to all the faculty and staff who provided the great food (loved the chorizo tacos).

And I want to give a special thanks to all the great kids at Otis Brown Elementary! Remember the four words and keep reading!
