Just Released!

NATM3

Released today is my novelization for Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. Of course, I had the opportunity to read this script when I wrote this book and I think it’s going to be the best Night at the Museum yet! Be sure to see the film when it hits theaters this month. Or, if you can’t wait that long, read the novelization!

Can’t even wait that long? Really?!! Then I guess you should check out the trailer and more at the official movie site HERE.

Tony Hawk: Live 2 Skate – Fresh

TonyHawk-Live2Skate-Fresh

Look out! I missed the July 1st release date of my fourth Tony Hawk book: Fresh. For all these books I had to learn a lot about skating, catch up on the lingo, and get some tips from some cool skaters in Montana. Thanks again, Ian, Ezra, and Lucas!

Synopsis: Jack Turner and his friends scout the best obstacles in town to pull the sickest of tricks. They upload their videos to the Internet only to find that their clips are being overshadowed by videos of the masked Sk8R 88. They aspire to half as good as this guy. Things get interesting when Sk8R 88 begins filming at familiar locations. He (or she) lives in their town! But it gets personal when Sk8R 88 films at the same locations and pulls off better tricks. Jack and his friends vow to uncover the identity of the mysterious Sk8R 88 and find out why he or she is out to get them.

2 New … Live 2 Skate Books!

This month has the release of two more of my contributions to the Tony Hawk: Live 2 Skate series. I wrote four in total and all were great fun — considering that I haven’t been atop a skateboard since I was the age of the books’ main characters. Luckily, I received some expert advice from some sick skaters!

Thanks to Ezra, Lucas, and Ian in Kalispel, Montana and thanks to former skater Hugo, in Austin, Texas (look for your namesake in Revive, Hugo).

New Release!

TonyHawk-L2S-AtLarge

Available for preorder is the first Tony Hawk chapter book I wrote for Stone Arch Books. It’s called Tony Hawk: Live 2 Skate – At Large.

As this book comes out, I just finished writing my fourth book in this series, and with each title I got to delve deeper into the skating world. I learned some tricks, studied the lingo, and came up with some crazy places to skate. Also, while researching the books, I met some cool skaters. Thanks to Ezra, Lucas, and Ian in Kalispel, Montana and thanks to former skater Hugo, in Austin, Texas.

Whether you’re a skater or not, I hope you enjoy reading this fun series!

New Release: Elite Strike Force!

Announcing the release of my third Penguins of Madagascar book: Elite Strike Force!

I seriously enjoy writing these books because they’re action-packed, loaded with laughs, and … I get to watch all the cartoons for research! How cool is that? This marks my third POM book and my first POM comic reader.

If you’re a fan of the penguins (and who isn’t), you should also check out my other POM books: Skipper’s Log and King Julien’s Guide to Ruling the Zoo. Both are written from the characters’ points of view and (if I did my job right) you can actually hear their voices in your head as you read!

We had a great time writing and voicing this issue so please give it a go if you get a chance. And keep up to date on all Clown Commandos activity by checking out the official Facebook page, Twitter account, and Clownblog.

More LEGO City!

Released this week is another one of my LEGO City books—Catch That Crook! These have been great fun to write, especially since LEGO insists on including plenty of jokes, gags, and slapstick. No problem! I’m happy to comply.

And if you’ve been keeping up with Clownblog at all, you’ll know that we’ve enjoyed seeing all of our Clown Commandos characters come to life in true LEGO minifig fashion. In fact, I’m growing into a LEGO fan all over again!

If you’re a LEGO or LEGO City fan (or know of a young one who needs a new early reader) you can order a copy of Catch That Crook! below.
